PUYE The Life and SOUL of the Party

The band was formed nearly twenty years ago and the main line-up has been gigging together for over a decade. About eight years ago we were joined by a sax player and we have recently recruited trumpet and trombone to form a full horn section giving the band a full, fat spine-tingling sound.

We have played village halls, Guild halls, fancy dress balls, Tobacco Balls, Rugby Balls and Cambridge May Balls. We've done eighteenths, twenty-firsts, thirtieths, fortieths, fiftieths, sixtieths, weddings, anniversaries, fundraisers, major corporate events and are now part of the regular line-up for the Kew Fayre Music Stage.

PUYE Bringing Music to your Ears

In 1998 the entire band was flown out to Malawi with all the equipment to play a four hour stint at a special dinner and dance. Since then we have been flown to France twice to perform at major society weddings. July 1999 saw our first genuinely public London performance at the World Famous John Bull Tavern in Chiswick playing a fundraiser for the Sepilok Orangutan Rehab Centre in Malaysian Borneo. We have returned to the John Bull every year since then to perform various parties and fundraisers. The last few years has seen us book an annual Prick Up Your Ears Christmas Party; each one a guaranteed sell-out. We've played in the Welsh Borders, the deep South West and the foothills of the Pyrenees. In 2008 we played at a beautiful English castle and also at the country's most haunted house (yes, we did play Ghostbusters!). In 2009 we will ourselves be celebrating - 20 years of rocking our socks off. A big charity bash in London is planned.

Wherever we play, Prick Up Your Ears' kicking brand of party music gets the crowds dancing all night. We offer discount for charity fundraisers and, given sufficient notice, will be very happy to work your personal requests into the set list (but bear in mind that there are certain boundaries that we will never cross!). Prick Up Your Ears For a party that no-one will forget.

Rev up your function with the rocking sound of live music played by genuine enthusiasts who will get your guests up on their feet and keep them up
